Meal Prep Monday – Turkey Burgers

Totally had an INTENSE craving for a turkey burger, so after work it was right to Publix for some ingredient shopping!

There really is nothing better than making the flavors your have in your mind come to life for a perfectly satisfying meal.

These turkey patties were exactly what I had in mind: flavorful and juicy.

Of course a slice of Swiss cheese melted on top made it all tie together at the very end.. *drool*.

Anyways, here’s a quick easy recipe for some yummy turkey burgers you can use as burgers, bunless(like I did), with veggies, or even in a salad.

Hellooooo multi functioning protein!

Bun-less, Cheese-less
Bun-less, Swiss Cheesed

Ingredients: Yields 4 medium patties; can yield 2 medium and 4 small patties

Prep time: 5 mins

Cook time: approx. 15-20mins

Ingredients to Mix

1 lb 93% lean ground turkey

1 egg

3 garlic cloves, minced

A few dashes of Worcestershire sauce(like 5 shakes of the bottle)

1 tablespoon Onion powder

1 tablespoon Garlic powder

1/2 tablespoon Cumin

1 tablespoon Herbs de Provence

A few shakes Omaha steaks private reserve rub

1 tablespoon Olive oil

1 teaspoon olive oil for cooking in

1 tablespoon Breadcrumbs if desired

Steps:

Preheat oven to 375°F (I convection baked).

Heat about a tablespoon of olive oil on a grill pan and turn it up to medium heat.

Mix all of the ingredients together, careful to not over-mix, while your pans getting hot.

Ready to Mix!

Form small patties and plop them onto the oiled pan, you should hear the sizzle! You should yield four medium sized patties or two large and four smaller patties. I did the two big and four smaller so I could use some of the protein in my salads for lunch.

Smaller Patties

Cooked on the Grill Pan

Cook each side for approximately 5-6 minutes depending on thickness of patties.

Put them in the oven for a last 5 minutes to finish cooking, take out of the oven, let sit for a minute, and serve ‘em up!

I opted out of the bun, ate it with a salad and some sautéed veggies, although an onion roll would have been phennnnomenal with the turkey burger….!
