Had an awesome, detailed post about this great tapas spot in Boca Raton, it’s called Patio, and my post got deleted(we’ve all been through it, am I right!?) so I’ll keep this one short and sweet.
This quaint, Spanish style tapas restaurant is located at 205 SE 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432, and is open every day of the week with varying hours: M-Th 12pm-9pm, Fri-Sat 12pm-10:30pm, Sun 5pm-9:30pm and even offer lunch specials from 12pm-3pm.
It’s always poppin’ for happy hour and dinner, so if you’re wanting a more quiet time in there, that would be lunch time. Outdoor and indoor seating, with the same amazing service(Fabio took care of us this last time we went and was great!)
We indulged with a few selections off the menu and my mom had a glass of wine while I had organic iced tea lemonade(had to get that workout in right after lunch!)
We ate croquetas de pollo, tortilla de chorizo, and the bocadillo lunch special(little sandwich) of jamon iberico, tomato and manchego cheese.
The croquetas were perfectly fried and the shredded chicken filling was tasty and not salty at all(we don’t eat with a lot of salt in my house).
Personally I thought the tortilla de chorizo was a bit unbalanced, flavor wise due to the chorizo being ground chorizo and not sliced – too much chorizo taste but hey, if you’re a chorizo head, you’re gonna love it!
The sandwich was perfect – slightly toasted bread, good amount of jamon iberico(it’s similar to prosciutto but a bit saltier and drier), good ratio of cheese and tomato as well. We got the sweet potato chips instead of the side salad and let me tell you…. these were theeee best sweet potato chips I’ve ever had. They slice them super thin and they end up with the perfect crisp.
Every time we go here it’s on point, so, if you’re in the area and looking for some tapas, it’s worth checking it out!!
